December 30, 2025 – Volume One, Commentaries, Page 45: To achieve a certain purpose you must discern what is needed, without substitutions, conflation, or equivocation.

As I pointed out when describing the Dark Light, the trough of the wavelength of visible light, darkness is not inherently evil, although certainly human beings are anxious in the night because our eyes see color and do not have the night-vision of most animals that see without color. No, true evil is deception, conflation, equivocation, misdirection, intentional confusion, disingenuousness, and lying. Evil is manipulative; good is honest; evil is self-centered; good is compassionate; evil is cruel, good is kind. When you wish to accomplish something, it is best to work out why you are doing it: is it for low-level reasons or higher ones? The discernment comes at the beginning of the action, because your human ego has the capacity to lie, dissemble, and deceive you: it is possible for it to make you believe numerous things which are not true, including why you are doing something. It is more challenging to act in your deep integrity, but it is also more spiritual.
